“American Beyonce” may have made waves with her recent 2013 Superbowl performance, but lately “British Beyonce” (aka Alexandra Burke) has ended up prevailing. The X-Factor UK winner has made her rounds via Youtube covering some of the best songs of our generation – and now it’s her turn to tackle Frank Ocean. The Grammy-nominated midtempo Ocean ballad has been given an impressive redux with a female’s twist. As stated several times throughout TUA’s history, Burke is undeniably one of the best vocalists of our time – right up there with the (R&B) queen herself. I’ve always wanted a female take on Ocean’s first official from ‘Channel Orange’, but I was blow away with Alexandra’s vocal talents here.
