The 2015 pop/dance categories features six artists in the ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ category, which tells me it was hard for the Grammys to choose their finalists. This also means that it was harder for me to predict winners outside of Sia and Katy Perry (2014 list).

Sia’s nomination is the most deserving in this category, but Sam Smith is trailing behind her as a close second. But since popularity matters, expect Taylor to be rewarded early for her ‘1989’ era antics.

Who Will Win: Katy Perry (feat. Juicy J) – “Dark Horse”

Katy’s single is the only one of the five nominees that made history by becoming the most played song on mainstream radio…ever. The only other nominee that even comes close to winning here is Iggy’s “Fancy”, which means Katy doesn’t have that much competition to begin with anyway.

While some of the songs on ‘Cheek To Cheek’ came off a bit too forced than I’d normally like, Barbra’s collaborative ‘Partners’ album found her amongst some of the best for her 34th (duets cover) album.

As much as ‘Prism’ deserves the win in this category, Sam’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ will 100% surely win this category if he loses to Beyonce’ for ‘Album Of The Year’. If Beyonce’ doesn’t win, however, it’s smooth sailing for Katy here.
