Jessie Ware’s debut album ‘Devotion’ made critics worldwide smile upon its release in August 2012 (which TUA gave her the rightfully earned title of ‘Best Album of 2012’). Despite not being officially released stateside, ‘Devotion’ somehow made its way to mainstreamers thanks to multiple plugs from Queen of Pop Katy Perry. With Jessie’s ‘If You’re Never Gonna Move’ EP released in America at the top of 2013, the British singer-songwriter has just begun to make traction in America. Between the international and American EP release, several stateside artists began to understand the huge buzz surrounding Ware’s artistic greatness. Despite being extremely shy towards other superstars, R&B’s Frank Ocean ran into the starlet at the 2012 BRIT awards, profoundly declaring his love for the singer. Rapper A$AP Rocky met Ware in early 2013 and was so impressed that he laid down a 16 for her single “Wildest Moments”. With both artists showing love to a relatively new but extremely impressive artist, there’s hope that both will return the favor for collaborations in the near future. But for now, the rumored US ‘Devotion’ tracklisting recently went viral with a confirmed Rocky collaboration. But it’s safe to say that if Frank jumped on “Devotion” or “Taking In Water”, the world would surely stop spinning on its axis. There’s still hope that Ware will hit the studio with America’s breakout R&B crooner in the near future, but for now, the US release of Jessie Ware’s ‘Devotion’ hits stores April 16, 2013.
