Jessie Ware’s greatness extends all the way back to early 2012 with her debut album ‘Devotion’. Anyone who is compared to a mix between Adele, SBTRKT, and Sade is okay with me…but adding Miguel to the mix? That’s exactly what happened on “Kind of…Sometimes…Maybe” – a beautiful midtempo written by Ware and the “All I Want Is You” singer. The reigning #princeofhiphop J. Cole stops by for a feature and raps “I don’t give a fuck about your past / life is strange, people grow, feelings change”. Jessie’s verses and chorus continue a theme of doubting a lover, hence the ellipses throughout the song’s title. The two mesh effortlessly on the smooth BenZel-driven track and if you listen close enough, you can hear Miguel crooning right along with Jessie. The trio make for a great collaboration for three of music’s most underrated artists. Listen and download Jessie Ware and J. Cole’s “Kind of…Sometimes…Maybe’ (Remix) below.
