Oprah Winfrey Network’s original program ‘Fix My Life’ starring inspirational speaker Iyanla Vanzant had possibly one of the most successful debut television seasons in entertainment history. The show, which centers around fixing lives that are broken by tragedy, loss, and heartbreak, spawning nearly three million viewers per week. Possibly the most watched episodes of the first season included VH1’s Evelyn Lozada and troubled actress Maia Campbell. Both endured bouts of depressing times that warranted fixing, and after viewing both episodes it appears that Iyanla was successful. The show’s second season will open with a 90-minute episode surrounding multi-platinum rapper DMX (also known as Earl Simmons). DMX’s #rapsheet includes arrests for marijuana, cocaine, and multiple driving citations involving being under the influence. The rapper appeared with his wife on VH1’s ‘Couples Therapy’ to little success. He was also scheduled to appear on Dr. Drew’s ‘Celebrity Rehab’, but his appearance was quickly nixed due to additional legal troubles. Sheree Whitfield of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ will appear on another new episode, which will center around her divorce from former Atlanta Falcons star Bob Whitfield. On the second season of ‘Fix My Life’, it appears that Iyanla has her work cut out for her as she attempts to #fix two of her most troubled cases to date. I honestly don’t think Iyanla’s approach will help the forever troubled rapper (maybe Sheree), but it will sure be interesting to watch her try. The second season premiere of ‘Fix My Life’ premieres April 13, 2013. Watch the official trailer below.
