The Emmy-award winning show on ABC ‘Once Upon A Time’ has garnered a huge following by recreating some of the most epic fairytales. Taking a ‘Lost’ approach to its unique storytelling, the show features elements from the Enchanted Forest (where the fairytale characters lived previously) and current day (where they’re trapped now). While ‘Once Upon A Time’ primarily focused on characters of the Enchanted Forest, the network’s newest spin-off series ‘Once Upon A Time In Wonderland’ will delve into a different realm. The first two seasons of ‘Once Upon A Time’ only touched on the mystical Wonderland, but now Alice, the Queen of Hearts, and the White Queen will join in the world of fairytale redux. In true ABC fashion, ‘Once Upon A Time In Wonderland’ features a different type of Alice – one that’s somewhat deranged and angrier than most of us remember. Her craziness stems from the disconnect between the real world and Wonderland, where she’s having trouble distinguishing between them. The spin-off is expected to feature indie actress Sophie Lowe as Alice, Barbara Hershey as Cora/The Queen of Hearts, and John Lithgow as The White Rabbit (‘Dexter’s Trinity Killer). ‘Wonderland’ is also expected to parallel with the events of ‘Once Upon A Time’ season three when it returns this fall.
