Major Lazer, a musical project by hip-hop producer Diplo, is possibly the greatest musical endeavor of this generation. The project is mainly regaee-meets-rap, but still carries the hard beats that Diplo has been known for. On the heels of the project’s second release ‘Free The Universe’, Lazer’s second single “Bubble Butt” has been given an extra assist in the form of Bruno Mars, 2 Chainz, Tyga, and Mystic. The result is a club-friendly, #twerkready banger that’s bound to get any and everyone on the dance floor. Known for his low-budget videos with a simplistic message, “Bubble Butt” focuses solely on the derriere, featuring #twerkteams of various ethnicities. None of the artists are featured in the video, giving the #thickgirls a full-on spotlight. Also in true Diplo fashion, the asses featured are so big that they would give Caramel Kitten a run for her money. If one thing’s certain, Diplo is unstoppable when it comes to making hits for the club, and ‘Free The Universe’ is the type of album that could get airplay from start to finish.
