[SONG + VIDEO] Lil’ Debbie x ‘Bitches’

lildebbieFollowing Kreayshawn in breaking out from the White Girl Mob rap trio, Oakland-bred Lil’ Debbie has appeared onto the scene with her debut ‘Queen D’ EP. The half-Italian rapper comes off as a “cousin” of the femcee known for the hit “Gucci Gucci”, but she’s much more lyrical and feisty in her delivery. On her latest single “Bitches”, Debbie moves away from her White Girl Mob days to evolve into a quality solo artist. “Now we turnt up and you turnt out, we burn it up and you burnt out, I’m caked up with my cakes out” raps Debbie with extreme California confidence and sexiness. Unlike Kreay, there’s something a bit more raw and brash about Lil’ Debbie that makes her raps come off as more realistic than her former bandmates. The video for “Bitches” is simple and features Debbie on a boat delivering her lyrics with a true West Coast attitude. A futuristic (and hilariously old) version of Debbie is also shown causing destruction throughout the city. It’s very rare that decent female rappers outside of New York rise to fame and Lil’ Debbie’s latest is an indication that she’s ready to take the role.
