Veteran R&B supergroup Jodeci haven’t released new music in almost twenty years, but now the band has officially begun their comeback conquest. On “Every Moment”, the quartet revisits their signature new jack swing sound and delivers one of the strongest urban/soul showings of the year. K-Ci takes the lead throughout and picks up where the group’s last single release (1996’s “Get On Up”) left off. Just before the bridge, you can hear DeVante and Mr. Dalvin distinctly, which is a quite refreshing change since K-Ci and JoJo usually handled most of the group’s vocals. On the arrangement side, the simplicity of the lyrics paired with the stellar harmonizing makes for a classically genuine R&B track.
