Acclaimed ‘Bridesmaids’ director Paul Feig is about to embark on what could be his most successful film to date. After months of speculation, Feig confirmed rumors that a reboot of the classic 1984 ‘Ghostbusters’ film will hit theatres with an all-female cast. Actresses Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy will serve as the two leads in the redux, while current ‘Saturday Night Live’ residents Kate McKinnon and Leslie Davis will support. All four actresses have worked together in the past, so their onstage chemistry will likely be successful, but I’m expecting ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Mike and Molly’ lead McCarthy to take center stage. Although none of the original actors have confirmed appearances, an Ernie Hudson cameo would really make life complete. The all-female ‘Ghostbusters’ film is scheduled to be released on July 22, 2016.
