On his thirteenth album ‘Bush’, Snoop Dogg enlists Pharrell to create a clever 420-themed project. The album, which features Kendrick Lamar, Charlie Wilson, Rick Ross, and Gwen Stefani among others, has been praised for Snoop’s level of both consistency and relevancy during his 20+ years in the rap game. And while ‘Bush’ features somewhat common subject matter for Snoop, the sound has evolved in the best way possible. On album standout “So Many Pros”, Snoop’s #reincarnation back into rap is met with open arms as he raps about having “excess” money and girls. The video for “Pros” is an all-out vintage affair, featuring Snoop in numerous Blaxploitation-esque scenes. Initially meant to be a song by Timbaland featuring Wilson, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell, “Pros” was given to Snoop who happened to turn it into one of the best songs on the ‘Bush’ project.
