Australian DJ and music producer Flume has had a pretty great year, mainly due to the success of his Grammy-nominated second album ‘Skin’. Just before the 2017 nominations were announced, Flume hit the Triple J radio station for an appearance on their ‘Like A Version’ series. For his own hit, Flume chose the predictable “Never Be Like You” and delivered a solid performance, but its his cover choice where things got interesting. Featuring verses from Long Beach rapper Vince Staples and background vocals from Kučka, Ngaiire, and Vera Blue, Flume and his frequent collaborators tackle the 90s hit “My Boo” by the Ghost Town DJs. The version stays pretty true to the original, but Staples delivers two noteworthy verses between the song’s iconic chorus. Watch the live performance below.
