With True Blood premiering its fifth season less than a month away, writers and producers of the show have crammed an immense amount of #processing for the highly anticipated season into a short 1:30 clip. The fourth season, which features Emmy nominee Fiona Shaw as Marnie Stonebrook, was larger than life – and has been my favorite season to date since Maryann Forrester’s (Michelle Forbes) visit in season 2. The upcoming season will shift the supernatural focus back to the vampires, examining their hirearchy models, couth, and overall control when it comes to humans, and their relationship with others with abilities. The clip below has so many highlights, but my favorites include 0:30 (Bill forcing Sookie to work for him again), 0:48 (Christopher Meloni/Stabler’s “We are the authority, I am the authority” proclamation), and 1:06 (Sookie attacks a group of humans). You can’t really tell what’s in store for season five, but Lafayette’s #sookiesass towards the end of the clip speaks volumes. The new season of True Blood premiers June 10, 2012 at 9:00PM.
