The Queen of Pop Katy Perry accepted her award from Billboard for rightfully earning the title ‘Woman of the Year’ with a genuine sense of humbleness that no other artist could ever do. In her acceptance speech, she refers to herself as “not a feminist”, but rather believing in the power of women. With groundbreaking singles like “Firework”, “Teenage Dream”, and “Wide Awake”, no other artist (male or female) has ever done what Katy has accomplished. In true feminist (and comedic) fashion, she ends her speech with “Thank you all for this incredible honor – I hope we all don’t start our cycles together”.
