The 2013 Inaugal Ceremony to officially re-establish Obama’s position into office has been revealed in its entirety. In tradition, the list is filled with A-list artists, all who have shown their support for the Democratic campaign this past November. Performers include:
Far East Movement
The Cast of “Glee”
Soul Children of Chicago
While I’m excited that so many great artists are supporting Obama through their own artistic craft, there are a few on the list above that are somewhat questionable. In terms of relevance, I’m seriously wondering who invited Nick Cannon – someone who hasn’t had a hit song in…forever. In terms of #pityinvites, Mindless Behavior were only invited to appease the First Children, as with Alicia Keys for the First Lady. Stevie Wonder is a staple at every major musical show – with just reasons. Clearly, Katy and Beyonce’ are the stand-out artists at this year’s ceremony, and there’s no denying that the two will deliver greatly heralded performances for years to come.
