Pink is no stranger to hits, so her upcoming fourth single featuring Lily Rose (formerly known as the great Lily Allen) should be a complete no-brainer. The song “True Love”, produced by frequent Lily collaborator Greg Kurstin, has been a standout on Pink’s sixth studio album ‘The Truth About Love’ since its release in September 2012 and does an excellent job of tying her artistry together on the disc. Her vocals are stronger than ever, especially as she belts out the hilarious verse “at the same time I wanna hug you, I wanna wrap my hands around your neck”. Lily comes in around the third verse in an unusual framework for a pop song, but her verse easily becomes the standout of the entire track. It’s almost as if Pink tells the story, but Lily comes forward with a realization/conclusion about one of life’s most pondered topics – true love. With ‘The Truth About Love’ approaching double platinum status and third single “Just Give Me A Reason” (with fun.’s Nate Ruess) approaching three million in sales, it’s safe to say that “True Love” will follow suit.
