Fans of ‘True Blood’ star werewolf Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux) will now have another way to enjoy his presence, as he recently signed to pen his first fitness book under the Simon and Schuster imprint, one of the ‘Big Six’ book publishers. The actor is mainly known for flaunting his flawless physique throughout Bon Temps on HBO’s ‘True Blood’ but will now write a non-fiction approach to staying fit. Manganiello’s novel plans to be a historical account of fitness trends since the 1800s paired with narrative accounts that parallel his own body image struggles. The novel will also feature a forward by Manganiello’s close friend Arnold Schwarzenegger, who agreed to pen the introduction after teaming up with him for the 2012 action-thriller ‘Ten’. If there’s anyone who could provide an accurate fitness guide for men, it’s Manganiello. Look for Joe’s book to hit bookstores nationwide this Christmas (source).
