With surprisingly bad album sales from her last two albums ‘Bionic’ and ‘Lotus’, troubled heavyweight singer Christina Aguilera has finally done something right – and it’s all for her fans. Due to popular Twitter demand, Aguilera self-funded the video clip for ‘Lotus’ standout “Let There Be Love”. The song serves as the third official single from the disc, following the crass “Your Body” and the country-themed “Just A Fool” featuring the Voice co-star Blake Shelton. Aguilera, who recently won an Emmy for her judging role on the singing competition, has failed to make her mark in the industry after her best-selling album ‘Stripped’. Thankfully, the Bonnie McKee-written “Love” could be Christina’s saving grace. The clip begins with a ‘thank you’ to #xtinaarmy fans and showcases the many forms of love in the world. Xtina has always had a soft spot for philanthropy (especially as it relates to LGBT rights), but this clip is a rarity in its homemade video storytelling methods by way of McKee’s superb songwriting. As “Love” begins to make traction on the Billboard Dance charts, however, it’s clear that it will never meet its much deserved mainstream success.
