The Weeknd’s ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’ was initially propelled by his massive single “Earned It”, which also made its accompanying ’50 Shades Of Grey’ album one of the best-selling soundtracks of all-time. Ever since the Weeknd released his trio of mixtapes throughout 2011, he’s been on a slow rise to superstardom. His debut album ‘Trilogy’ attempted to provide a mastered refix of his mixtape material, but was reworked to remove numerous sample issues the singer was having. His second album ‘Kiss Land’ featured Pharrell as an attempt to garner mainstream listeners to minimal results. But once the Max Martin-produced “Can’t Feel My Face” hit airwaves – fresh off the heels of “Earned It” – the Weeknd became one of the biggest musicians of the year.
