If there’s one artist that constantly reinvents themselves for the better, its America’s favorite twerker Miley Cyrus. After releasing her latest studio album ‘Bangerz’ to critical acclaim in 2013, I thought it would be another five years before the world heard another Miley album. Once Miley successfully hosted the 2015 Video Music Awards in August, she surprised-released a full-length project entitled ‘Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz’. Produced mainly by Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips and Mike Will Made It, the album shifts Miley’s pop legacy into psychedelic rock territory. There’s lots of sex songs, but also lots of heartbreak involving the loss of her “dead petz” as well. The album may not have been officially released, but ‘Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz’ is one of the best female releases this year, and deserves to be released officially in 2016.
